1. accommodation
a. = money lent for a short time 通融存款,短期存款
b. = something done to help someone 通融(做某事匡助某人)
e.g. to reach an accommodation with creditors = to agree terms for settlement 与债务人获得息争(赞同了解债务的前提)
accommodation address = address used for receiving messages but which is not the real address of the company 权宜通信地点(不是 公司的真实地点,只用它来获得音信)
accommodation bill = bill of exchange where the drawee signing is helping another company (the drawer ) to raise a loan; it is given on the basis of trade debts owed to the borrower 通融汇票(受票人 签字是匡助另一个公司即出票人筹措存款,这种汇票的给所以以欠借款人 的商业债务为根据的)
accommodation maker = person who signs a promissory note for no fee, but who expects to lend the creditor money. 通融期票出票人 (为向债务人举行存款而免费在期票上签字的人)
2. accredited
a. = (agent) who is appointed by a company to act on its behalf (代表,代庖署理人)被委任的(被一个公司任命,代表它办事) b. = (ambassador) who is appointed by a country to represent it in another country.
(使节)被任命的(被一个国家任命在另一个国家担当其代表)
e.g. He is accredited to the United Nations.
他被任命为团结国年夜使。
3. accuse...of...
= to say that someone has committed a crime or to charge someone with a crime. 控告、告密某人立功
She was accused of stealing 25 pounds from her boss. 她原告密从老板那边偷了25镑钱。
He was accused of murder. 他被控有谋杀罪。
accused = person or persons charged with a crime 刑事原告
All the accused pleaded not guilty. 全部刑事原告默示不伏罪。
The police brought the accused jnto the court. IT将原告带进法庭。
